We continue to focus on improving the systems, behaviour and technology we use to reduce and preferably eliminate safety risks. Our safety and health management system, captures the fundamental systems we have in place to manage safety. Kumba began implementing the Anglo American risk management programme in 2010. As part of this process, a significant number of employees were trained in basic risk management and assessment, the aim of which was to improve hazard awareness and identification.
